Campaign Overview:

Expansion of CIRL (Canadian Institute of Natural Resources Law) Energy & Environmental Law Specialization

The Canadian Institute of Resources Law (CIRL) is the leading centre of expertise on legal and policy issues relating to Canada’s natural resources. CIRL’s emphasis on research, education and publication will be leveraged by fully integrating CIRL with our faculty, allowing us to cross-pollinate its best ideas and actions throughout Calgary Law. The resulting expansion of our research, teaching and knowledge sharing among faculty, students and the international legal communities will significantly strengthen Calgary Law.

Excellence in Lawyering Program

From the very beginning, our commitment to skills training has been at the core of our approach to legal education. New funds will ensure the long-term stability and expansion of immensely valuable programs like mooting and debating, trial advocacy and dispute resolution, legal writing and ethics.
